About Mandalay Bay Resort

  • The Michelob ULTRA Arena seats up to 12,000 people, making it one of the largest indoor venues in Las Vegas. Seats are arranged in four sections around the central performance area, with floor sections A to H being the closest and sections 303 to 322 farthest away from the stage.
  • House of Blues Musical Hall can seat up to 2,500 patrons across four sections. The gold section is closest to the action and often includes standing tickets. Sections 200 to 208, 300, and 400 are at higher levels.
    The seating plan at the music hall often changes to accommodate different performances.
  • Michael Jackson ONE Theater is purpose-built to host the eponymous Cirque du Soleil production. It can host approximately 1,805 patrons across two sections.
    Sections 101 to 103 are at the lower level with direct views of the stage while sections 201 to 205 offer a more expansive view of the performance from an elevated height.

The Hacienda, which once boasted the Strip's most glorious pool and flew in gamblers from across the country, gave way to the Mandalay Bay in 1999. The Resort and Casino opened its doors with a grand event, featuring a motorcycle parade led by grand marshals The Blues Brothers — Dan Aykroyd, Jim Belushi, and John Goodman, driving through the resort's entrance. With guests flocking for the variety of available entertainment options, it quickly became known for its impressive scale and luxurious amenities.

Over the years, Mandalay Bay has undergone several expansions, notably the addition of the Four Seasons Hotel and Delano Las Vegas inside the complex. One of its most striking features - the 11-acre pool complex, is one of Las Vegas's best. It includes Mandalay Bay Beach with real sand, the exclusive adults-only Moorea Beach Club, a 1.6-million-gallon wave pool, and a lazy river.

  • Bus: Use the Deuce on the Strip, which runs 24/7 along Las Vegas Boulevard or the SDX, with limited-stop service to key destinations to drop off at SB Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay.
  • Car: The self-parking garage is situated near the main entrance, accessible with an entry fee of 18$ from Monday to Thursday and 23$ on weekends. For those attending events inside the resort, there is a dedicated event parking area with additional spaces. Parking is free for the first 3 hours for Nevada residents and MGM membership holders.
  • Monorail: Take the monorail to the nearest station at MGM Grand. From here, you can take a 20-minute walk towards the hotel or use the connecting tram service between MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, Excalibur, and Luxor.
  • Recommended route: Taxi or rideshare are best for convenience and flexibility while the bus offers an affordable mode of transport without traffic.
