Excalibur Hotel and Casino

Named after the famed King Arthur’s magical sword, the Excalibur Hotel and Casino is a medieval-looking castle on the Las Vegas Strip. Opening in 1990, the property was developed by Circus Circus Enterprises, and the founder William Bennet traveled to castles in Europe for inspiration. It was the largest hotel in the world until the opening of the nearby MGM Grand in 1993.

The hotel has also hosted the longest-running dinner show on the Strip –The Tournament of Kings (featuring real-life jousting).
